My kid's shoe pattern shop: http://www.sweetpeakidspatterns.etsy.com

My women's shoe pattern shop: http://www.shoeology.etsy.com

CAN I SELL THE FINISHED SHOES I MAKE FROM YOUR PATTERNS?

Yes!  You have my permission to sell finished shoes made from my patterns in small quanities.  You can sell your finished shoes on Etsy, Artfire, Ebay, or at local craft shows. You may not mass produce shoes made with my patterns without my permission.  You may not re-sell my PDF patterns online or anywhere else.

DO I NEED ANY SPECIAL EQUIPMENT TO MAKE THESE SHOES?

No.  The wonderful thing about making this type of shoe is that you don't need a last, a special sewing machine, or any other type of fancy equipment.  The only thing you need is regular home sewing machine.

CAN I SEW THESE BY HAND?

Yes, you can sew them by hand if you make very short and close stitches.

I AM JUST A BEGINNER, HOW HARD ARE THESE TO MAKE?

Sewing shoes is definitely not going to be as easy as sewing a pot holder for example, but you certainly don't need any special sewing skills either. The most difficult part of making the shoes is learning how to sew the curves.... the toe and the heel.
When I design my tutorials, I assume my audience knows nothing about sewing. I think back to when I first started sewing and what I was confused by. Every step has a picture and an explanation. I think it's paying off because I get a lot of feedback that comments on how thorough the tutorials are and how much they appreciated all the extra tips and tricks.

WHAT IS THE EASIEST SHOE TO START WITH?

I would say the Mary Jane styles are the easiest, especially if you leave the strap off.  Then you will have a very simple ballet flat.

DO YOU EVER SELL FINISHED SHOES?

No.  I enjoy the design process, but I don't enjoy making anything more than once.

DO YOU HAVE ANOTHER QUESTION THAT IS NOT LISTED?

Drop me an email, I would be happy to answer any question you may have:)
